In 2008, I branched off of employing my favorite film format and medium format camera at the time as they were intended to be used, performing the first of many attempts to pair medium format controls with Polaroid's classic integral film, 600 film. These unlikely prints, some of the first instances of this combination in existence, were born out of a desire to push the integral film format’s accessibility, durability and instantaneous output further than it’s intended cameras allowed by gaining greater control over the shutter capturing the image. The results inspired a practice that is capable of adapting light sensitive material and cameras to meet my needs as an image maker in need of instant tangibility.
